Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Programs Supervisor (S) in the COO - OPS - Institutions Operations unit to oversee rehabilitation programs for offenders in a minimum custody facility.

Reporting to the Programs Director I, you will supervise program areas including offender classification, correctional programs (work release, study release, counseling, and related activities) and coordination with custody staff, while working with external agencies and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field is required.
• Minimum one year of corrections or related work experience.
• Knowledge of case management practices and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain major programs for offenders in a minimum custody facility.
• Supervise program areas including offender classification, correctional programs, and counseling.
• Coordinate with external community agencies and custody staff; supervise subordinate staff as needed.
