Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Case Manager (S) at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Caswell, NC. You will provide programs for the rehabilitation of offenders in the prison system and manage case plans under the Programs Supervisor I.

Responsibilities include teaching 40 hours of Domestic Violence from approved curriculum, screening and assigning offenders across state facilities, coordinating transitions prior to parole, and maintaining case management records.

Qualifications

• Documented knowledge of case management practices and intake interview techniques.
• Experience with supportive counseling approaches is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching 40 hours of Domestic Violence from approved curriculum.
• Screen and assign offenders from all minimum custody facilities across the state.
• Plan and facilitate graduation for offenders after course completion.
• Maintain case manager responsibilities.
• Develop case plans, answering and following up on offender questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee.
• Assist in major dynamic programs or coordinating major or specialized programs for rehabilitation of offenders.
• Plan and coordinate transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community
