Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• 1 year experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred.
• No criminal justice involvement in the past two years.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment screening: background checks, registry verifications, drug testing, and credentialing as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential expertise and consultation to the Jail Diversion Team to promote person-centered care.
• Meet with clients to provide support in accordance with treatment plans.
• Assist in peer support groups with assigned consumers on a regular basis.
• Support clients in daily decision-making and problem resolution.
• Accompany clients to meetings and advocate for consumer needs in community groups.
