Job summary

Kinexus Group seeks a Community Coordinator to build and coordinate relationships across counties in Michigan, driving re-entry services for returning citizens. You will recruit Steering Team members, manage contracts, monitor performance, and foster cross‑organization partnerships to improve employment outcomes.

The role requires a degree in a related field, 3 years in community resources, and strong communication skills; growth opportunities and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 3 years of experience in community resource acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Previous experience in a community resource role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify community assets and gaps to support parolee success.
  • Recruit regional Steering Team and Advisory Council members.
  • Oversee services provided by contractors/vendors under supervision.
  • Prepare monthly reports and track contract goals.
  • Foster partnerships with government, nonprofits and private organizations.
  • Identify grant funding and assist with proposal submissions.
  • Recommend policy and process improvements for re-entry services.
  • Lead half of the Offender Success Team and support growth.
  • Coordinate finance integration within Kinexus Team.
  • Model a Team of Teams mindset and uphold Kinexus values.
