Job summary

Ingham County is seeking a Part-Time Community Re-entry Assistant to support the release process through accurate data entry, verification, and records management. The position involves clerical duties, maintaining filing systems, and generating release-related reports for daily releases.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with some advanced or specialized coursework in accounting/bookkeeping, statistics, mathematics, criminal justice and/or legal specialty.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills by engaging, interacting and working with all individuals to ensure clarity and understanding in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry into multiple court, pre-trial, probation, and medical systems, ensuring updated contact information for individuals being released.
• Review and verify release packets prepared by Receiving Deputies for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate, update, and distribute release lists, ensuring information is entered correctly for daily releases.
• Enter and maintain accurate records of release-related forms, including bond paperwork, probation intakes, and pre-trial services documentation.
• Provide release-related information to community partners by entering, retrieving, and transmitting verified data through system reports.
• Maintain electronic and paper filing systems for court forms, medical information, and release documents.
