U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a reemployed Border Patrol Agent to rejoin the frontlines protecting America’s borders. You’ll apply your experience to prevent illegal entry and enforce immigration laws while supporting D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force assignment.

This term appointment starts at GS-12 salary ($91,985) and can go to $119,583, with location preferences and dual compensation waived in certain cases; relocation and training are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Specialized law enforcement experience required.
• Must meet GS-12 level: One year of specialized work experience at the next lower grade level.
• Clearance and background requirements as per CBP policies and OPM guidance.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend individuals violating immigration or customs laws.
• Use surveillance and investigative methods to identify operational problems.
• Adhere to legal procedures and maintain proper documentation and reporting.
• Operate in a variety of field environments to support USBP mission.
