U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – U.S. Border Patrol is seeking experienced agents to rejoin the front lines to protect America’s borders and enforce immigration laws. This role emphasizes discretion, readiness, and commitment to duty within a national security framework.

This term appointment starts at a GS-12 level with a salary range of $91,985 to $119,583 per year, subject to locality adjustments. You will select up to two preferred duty locations during the application process.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in law enforcement or equivalent showing ability to arrest and use firearms.
• Ability to interpret and enforce immigration laws and regulations.
• Must meet health and background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Protect borders by preventing illegal entry via land, sea, or air.
• Interrogate individuals for immigration status and perform checks as needed.
• Apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the U.S. illegally.
