U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol seeks reemployed annuitants to protect America's borders. This GS-12 level role starts at $91,985 and goes up to $119,583 with locality adjustments, including expedited pre-employment and accelerated re-entry training.

Duties include patrolling borders, detecting and apprehending illegal entrants, and enforcing immigration and customs laws. As a reemployed annuitant, you may qualify for salary offset waivers and wage offsets while continuing

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in law enforcement or related work.
• Ability to arrest and use firearms with sound judgment.
• Ability to interact courteously with individuals during enforcement matters.
• Develop and maintain contact with informants.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations near borders.
• Pursue and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
