Job summary

NFI is seeking a detail-focused Refrigeration Technician to diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration units (Carrier and Thermo King). You will use JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows-based tools to keep our fleet running smoothly.

Requirements include 3–5 years of maintenance experience and a 608 EPA certification. Valid DL with Class B preferred; on-site work with a strong team culture and growth opportunities at NFI.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of equivalent maintenance experience.
• 608 EPA certification is required for this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; Class B license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mobile refrigeration units (Carrier/Thermo King) using diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigerated trailers.
• Welding/fabrication as needed on trailer equipment.
• Conduct DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.

NFI Onsite Refrigeration Technician Expectations & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mobile refrigeration units such as Carrier and Thermo King, using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows
• Performance preventive maintenance on our fleet of refrigerated trailers
• Welding/fabrication as needed on trailer equipment
• 608 EPA cert required
• Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
• Physically capable of performing all job duties, which includes being able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment.
• On-site evaluation with recommended training
