Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to perform offensive cybersecurity work for DoD and U.S. Government systems. An active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret with SCI eligibility is preferred. US citizenship is required for access.

Strong Linux/Windows, PENTEST tooling, and scripting skills are essential for this role. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 annually, reflecting experience and security clearances. Travel is negligible.

Qualifications

• Five years of software engineering experience applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments and enterprise networks.
• Proficiency with Penetration Testing and Red Team operations.
• Familiarity with common PENTEST tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs for security insights.
• Develop and debug Web/desktop code and interfaces.
• Recommend fixes to mitigate vulnerabilities and harden systems.
• Operate and administer systems across UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
• Apply NSA STIGs and encryption concepts in secure architectures.
• Support code reviews and static analysis to improve software security.
