Certified Waste Solutions, located in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a Sorter to oversee the sorting line, identify materials, and ensure accurate recycling streams. The role blends hands‑on sorting with coordination on special projects while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position requires the ability to distinguish recyclables, maintain attention to detail, and work as part of a team in an outdoor facility with exposure to weather and dust. Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in recycling or waste management is advantageous.
• Ability to distinguish between recyclable materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and differentiate recyclable materials as they enter the facility.
• Sort materials manually by type (paper, plastics, cardboard) for proper streams.
• Remove non-recyclables to prevent contamination.
• Dump boxes of materials into designated processing bins.
• Assist in movement and organization of materials within the facility.
• Maintain a safe work area with PPE and safety protocols.
• Support supervisors on special projects and daily tasks.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Report equipment issues or maintenance needs to supervisors.
