Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking a dependable Sorter to operate at our San Jose facility, manually separating recyclable and non-recyclable materials from a conveyor belt. You will help ensure material quality and safety while supporting efficient operations.

This role requires standing for long periods, following safety protocols, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Lifting up to 75 lbs may be required depending on the site workflow.

Qualifications

• Must have valid government-issued identification and authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive sorting motions.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA safety procedures at all times.
• Sort materials from a conveyor belt per site standards to minimize contamination.
• Meet productivity expectations, e.g., 25–48 items per minute depending on operation.
• Work safely around others to support efficiency.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive sorting motions with dexterity.
