Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking a dependable Sorter to manually separate recyclable and non-recyclable materials from a conveyor belt at our San Leandro facility. You will help maintain material quality, support efficiency, and uphold safety standards on site.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to stand for extended periods, and teamwork in a fast-paced industrial environment. Some travel may be required; shifts vary by daily tonnage and site needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient in English and/or Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Sort materials from a conveyor belt to minimize contamination.
• Meet productivity targets, e.g., 25–48 items per minute.
• Follow directions and established procedures.
• Work safely near others to maintain efficiency.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive sorting.
• Handle and transport materials and equipment as required.
• Assist with onsite projects and housekeeping.
