Job summary

Applicants should be able to work in various weather conditions, distinguish recyclables from trash, and demonstrate good verbal communication. The position pays $18–$21 per hour and requires at least 18 years old and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including standing, lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stay alert and work safely in all conditions.
• Ability to distinguish recyclable materials from trash.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal communication skills for professional interaction with customers and staff.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Sort a variety of recycled materials into designated containers or locations as instructed.
• Direct customers and vendors to proper loading/unloading areas; assist with unloading and loading recycling materials.
• Maintain an excellent safety, attendance and work quality record.
• Take initiative to help maintain a clean facility by sweeping, picking up, and organizing.
• Break down bulky items where needed and sort metals for recycling.
