Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Recycling Supervisor in Dayton, OH to lead daily operations at the recycling plant, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and coach staff for peak performance.

You will oversee performance, training, and disciplinary actions while coordinating with maintenance and management. Candidates should have 1–2 years of supervisory experience and knowledge of recycling processes; SCADA familiarity is a plus, and willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has 1–2 years of operational or supervisory experience.
• General knowledge of the Recycling industry and processes (MRF/Glass) is preferred.
• Experience with industrial machines and control software, including SCADA, is helpful.
• Ability to obtain certifications to operate heavy and small equipment and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities/performance of recycling staff in a safe manner, complying with all regulations and policies.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Train, direct and coach employees to improve performance and productivity.
• Enforce lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE usage consistently.
• Maintain housekeeping and proper documentation including performance evaluations and attendance.
