Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Recycling Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations, safety, and staff performance. You will manage production, training, and quality of goods while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

This role requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience, knowledge of recycling processes, and the ability to operate equipment and SCADA systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, communicates effectively, and works flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years operational or supervisory experience
• Knowledge of recycling processes (MRF/Glass plant) preferred
• Experience with industrial machines and control software including SCADA helpful
• Ability to obtain certifications to operate heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of recycling employees in a safe manner per regulations and policies
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met or exceeded
• Train, direct and coach employees to improve performance and productivity
• Operate small and heavy equipment as needed to meet production goals
• Perform and conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as required
• Maintain records and files including compliance and personnel documents
