Job summary

Republic Services in Richmond, CA is seeking a Stationary Equipment Technician to repair and maintain recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment and light trucks to keep operations safe and productive.

Your responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical problems with charts and diagnostic software, replacing worn parts, and completing work orders, safety procedures, and daily reports in the Dossier fleet system. Prior PLC and conveyor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair or trade school certification.
• Preferred PLC troubleshooting and knowledge of conveyors.
• Valid driver’s license and a mechanical or trade school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software and manuals.
• Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings.
• Reads repair orders and documents parts usage and times in work orders.
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on recycling equipment and rolling stock.
• Follows safety policies and completes daily reports and input in maintenance systems.
