Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Recycling Center Maintenance Technician in Anaheim, CA. You will repair and maintain recycling equipment, heavy and light trucks, hydraulic and electrical systems, balers, conveyors and PLCs to maximize safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications include 1+ year of maintenance experience, 3+ years on equipment in manufacturing or distribution, welding/fabrication, PLC programming, a valid driver’s license and a mechanical or trade certificate.

Qualifications

1+ year of building maintenance/maintenance experience.
3+ years of experience on equipment in manufacturing or distribution.
Welding/fabrication skills or experience.
PLC programming experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Mechanical or trade school certificate.
Certificate in electronic diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses mechanical problems using diagnostics, manuals and expertise.
Repairs and maintains recycling equipment, heavy equipment and light trucks to maximize safety and productivity.
Repairs or replaces parts as directed by work orders; completes field service reports.
Overhauls or replaces machine components and worn items.
Troubleshoots and communicates with supervision for problem clarification and preventive maintenance guidance.
Maintains complex electromechanical equipment.
Records hours, fuel and oil usage; inputs data in Fleet Management System.
