About the Opportunity

Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator to support our Kalamazoo Valley Accelerated Associate Program (KVAAP). This position will work with the KVAAP Assistant Director and Advisor to develop, implement and coordinate outreach and enrollment strategies. This position will also assist in coordinating and implementing enrollment activities and special projects, serving as the lead for on campus and off campus enrollment events and other related initiatives.

Other responsibilities

• Visit K-12 schools, community organizations, businesses, non-profits and others, for the purpose of achieving enrollment objectives.
• Guide prospective students through the KVAAP enrollment process, from prospect to enrollee.
• Collaborate with other college departments to maximize enrollment efforts. Build networks and generate leads in Kalamazoo county to increase awareness of KVAAP.
• Participate in programs for individuals and groups by conducting presentations and tours including classroom visits and staffing information tables.
• Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to maximize prospective student communications and achieve enrollment objectives.
• Arrange and facilitate all virtual and in-person KVAAP information sessions.
• Conduct intake interviews as needed.
• Foster multiple relationships with internal and external stakeholders to communicate the mission of KVAAP and to promote enrollment.
• Create and facilitate virtual discussions, announcements and content to encourage student engagement.
• Work collaboratively with KVAAP, faculty and staff to accomplish unit goals.
• Attend special recruiting events on the weekend.
• Assist the Assistant Director with persistence and completion goals of the college.

Minimum Qualifications

Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are requirements. An example of this would be a bachelor’s degree in communication, student services, business administration or a related field and three (3) years of related experience.

Physical Demands

Ability to travel among Kalamazoo Valley campus locations is expected.

Work Hours

Times will vary. College business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some weekend events will require an adjusted schedule.
