Job summary

Franklin County is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resource Specialist – Recruitment to manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding across multiple departments. The role supports reference checks, background checks, orientation, and ensures compliance with federal/state laws and County policies.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 3–5 years HR experience; PHR/SHRM-CP is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or behavioral/social science field required.
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle customer and employee inquiries with professional, courteous service.
Provide administrative support to the HR Director and department managers.
Track applicant information, interview notes, and hiring metrics in the ATS.
Coordinate job postings, advertising, and new hire paperwork in the ATS.
Conduct pre-employment background checks and communicate status to applicants.
Assist with onboarding processes, including benefits enrollment and orientation.
