Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides career guidance and pre-enrollment advisement regarding all areas of Student Services.
• Acts as a mentor/advocate for potential students, providing support and problem resolution.
• Meets with potential students and provides tours and program information.
• Fosters relationships with secondary and higher education partners to guide students toward credentials.
• Documents outreach with qualitative and quantitative data using CRM systems.
• Manages incoming calls and email inquiries, guiding staff in communications.
• Delivers presentations and demonstrations of Davis Technical College programs to external partners.
• Assists other Recruiting and Admissions Advisors with workload.

Job description

Position will be 25-29 hours a week, Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, and Friday 7:30 - 3:30 pm. Flexible with hours.

Fosters student success through the Davis Technical College application and admissions process. The part-time Recruiting and Admissions Advisor will have functional knowledge of programs available, and services offered by Davis Technical College to ensure all student needs are met prior to enrollment, thereby facilitating a seamless transition into the program. The Recruiting and Admissions Advisor is responsible for identifying and coordinating resources and appropriate services required to remove potential barriers to success prior to and during the enrollment process. The Recruiting and Admissions Advisor will work with the Marketing and CRM/systems teams to identify opportunities for recruiting and outreach to facilitate interest in enrollment to Davis Technical College programs.

1. Provides career guidance and pre-enrollment advisement regarding all areas of Student Services.
2. Acts as a mentor/advocate for potential students, providing support through positive communication and problem resolution.
3. Meets with potential students and provides tours and program information.
4. Fosters relationships with secondary and higher education partners to guide students through pathways toward stackable credentials.
5. Provides qualitative and quantitative documentation of outreach to students in all areas utilizing CRM and recruiting systems.
6. Manages incoming phone calls and email inquiries,guiding other staff in communicating inquiries with key staff.
7. Provides presentations and engaging demonstrations of Davis Technical College programs and resources to outside partners, including secondary education, employers, and community organizations.
8. Assists other Recruiting and Admissions Advisors with normal workloads.

• High school diploma
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience directly related to recruitment and/or career/employment advising.
• Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and persons with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, students, and the public.
• Ability to give presentations and speak to large, diverse groups.
• Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a highly interpersonal contact environment
• Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by workload and time deadlines.
• Ability to make high-level decisions with little or no supervision
• Ability to perform with attention to detail and follow through.
• Proficiency with computers and various software systems is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Associate degree
• Technical Certificate or certificate
• Fluency in the Spanish language.
