Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a motivated Recruiter to support talent acquisition across our North American R&D organization.

You will partner with hiring managers and HR to identify, attract, and hire top technical and professional talent that drives Hyundai's future mobility vision. The recruiter will manage full-cycle recruitment for a range of technical roles, deliver an exceptional candidate experience, and build strong pipelines to meet current and future needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, communications, psychology, or related field.
• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, automotive, manufacturing, or corporate roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding support.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and prioritise recruitment.
• Develop candidate pipelines via proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and events.
• Screen candidates and conduct interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams and maintain a positive candidate experience.
• Prepare and extend offers in collaboration with HR leadership and hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the ATS.
• Support onboarding activities for a smooth candidate-to-employee transition.
• Participate in employer branding, career fairs, university partnerships, and networking events.
• Build relationships with universities and external talent communities for long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with managers to improve recruiting processes and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating offers, and onboarding support.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and recruitment priorities.
• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, networking, and industry events.
• Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Prepare and extend employment offers in partnership with HR leadership and hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
• Participate in employer branding initiatives and recruiting events, including career fairs, university partnerships, and networking opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional organizations, and external talent communities to support long-term talent acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to identify opportunities for improving recruiting processes and hiring effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and recruiting procedures.
• Track recruiting metrics and provide regular updates regarding candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and market trends.
• Support special projects and broader Human Resources initiatives as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
• Related Industry Experience Requirements:
• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, automotive, manufacturing, or corporate positions preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple requisitions and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge and use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
• Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools to identify passive candidates.Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recruiting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to attend recruiting events, career fairs, and university outreach activities as needed.
• Strong customer-service mindset and commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
• Automotive, R&D, or engineering recruiting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices preferred.
