Job summary

Acousti Engineering Company of Florida is seeking an experienced Construction Recruiter to join our Orlando team onsite. You will source, attract, and hire qualified construction professionals and skilled tradespeople to support Central Florida operations.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of full-cycle recruiting experience in construction, builds strong relationships with hiring managers, and develops creative sourcing strategies to maintain a robust pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, BA, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting skilled trades and construction professionals.
• Strong knowledge of construction terminology and project staffing.
• Experience using ATS and recruiting platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, CareerBuilder).
• Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interviewing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally across Orlando and Central Florida.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake to onboarding.
• Recruit for roles including Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Engineers, and Skilled Trades.
• Collaborate with hiring managers on workforce planning and priorities.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, trade schools, unions, referrals, and events.
• Build and maintain pipelines for high-volume, hard-to-fill positions.
• Screen candidates and coordinate interviews with managers.
• Negotiate offers and ensure positive candidate experience.
• Attend job fairs, trade events, and outreach programs; engage vocational schools and apprenticeship programs.
• Track metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality, hiring manager satisfaction).
• Maintain ATS records and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Support onboarding with HR and operations for smooth integration.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Recruiter to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This onsite role is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified construction professionals and skilled tradespeople to support our growing operations throughout Central Florida.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of full-cycle recruiting experience within the construction industry, including recruiting for skilled trades, field operations, project management, and construction support functions. This individual will build strong relationships with hiring managers, develop creative sourcing strategies, and maintain a robust pipeline of top construction talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
• Recruit for positions including but not limited to:
  • Project Managers
  • Assistant Project Managers
  • Superintendents
  • Estimators
  • Project Engineers
  • Safety Managers
  • Skilled Trades Professionals
  • General Laborers
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce planning needs, project staffing requirements, and hiring priorities.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, trade schools, unions, employee referrals, community organizations, and industry networking events.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill construction positions.
• Conduct candidate screening interviews and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
• Manage offer negotiations and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Attend job fairs, trade association events, workforce development programs, and community outreach initiatives.
• Develop relationships with local vocational schools, technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, and industry organizations.
• Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality, and hiring manager satisfaction.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Support onboarding efforts and collaborate with HR and operations teams to ensure successful employee integration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting skilled trades and construction professionals.
• Strong knowledge of construction terminology, trade classifications, and project-based staffing requirements.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, CareerBuilder, and industry-specific recruiting channels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interviewing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the Orlando and Central Florida market as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting within one or more of the following industries:
  • Commercial Construction
  • Residential Construction
  • Industrial Construction
  • Infrastructure/Heavy Civil Construction
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)
  • Specialty Contracting
• Knowledge of construction labor markets and prevailing wage projects.
• Experience supporting high-volume field hiring and workforce planning initiatives.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
