Job summary

Framework - Construction Recruiting is seeking an HR professional to support the full employee life cycle for a Winter Park, FL-based client in a hands-on, relationship-driven role. You will handle recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits support, compliance, training coordination, and culture-building for both office and field personnel.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources, HR administration, recruiting coordination, employee relations, or related people operations preferred.
  • Experience in construction, subcontracting, engineering, architecture, real estate development, or another project-based environment strongly valued.
  • Experience supporting both office and field personnel preferred.
  • Experience with onboarding, employee records, benefits coordination, HRIS data, and compliance documentation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred, or willingness to pursue certification.
  • High level of confidentiality, judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting for office, project management, field leadership, administrative, and operational positions, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and offer support.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation schedules, new-hire paperwork, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HRIS data, and related documentation; process new hires, terminations, and status changes.
  • Support benefits administration, including eligibility tracking, open enrollment, and coordination with brokers and carriers.
  • Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, medical leave, and return-to-work documentation.
  • Provide front-line HR support for employee questions, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns, escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including I-9, EEO, wage and hour, and records retention.
  • Coordinate training activities and maintain training and certification records.

Our client is a commercial general contractor and construction manager headquartered in Winter Park, FL, serving the Central Florida market for over 50 years. The firm's portfolio spans multifamily, senior living, education, commercial, special use, religious, civic, and institutional construction.

This role supports the full employee life cycle, recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits support, compliance, training coordination, and culture-building, for both office and field personnel. It's a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone with strong administrative discipline, good judgment, and the ability to balance responsiveness, confidentiality, and practical business judgment in a construction environment.

What You'll Do
