Job summary

System One is seeking a Recruiter for a 9‑month contract in Minneapolis, MN. The role combines onsite and remote work in a hybrid model, supporting full lifecycle recruitment across multiple requisitions.

You will partner with business leaders, source diverse talent, and guide hiring teams through offers, negotiations, and pre‑hire activities, while maintaining an Employee Value Proposition and high candidate experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• 3–10+ years experience in full cycle recruitment (direct sourcing, corporate recruitment).
• Experience with Workday ATS preferred.
• Knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action.
• Knowledge of employment law.

Job Title: Recruiter
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Type: 9 month Contract
Compensation: $35.00 - $41.50
Work Model: Hybrid - onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake and recruitment strategy development, sourcing, candidate screening and assessment, interview coordination, candidate presentation, offer development and negotiation, and pre-hire activities.
• Partner and consult with hiring leaders to understand business needs, position requirements, talent availability, and market conditions and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Proactively source and engage qualified talent through networking, professional organizations, online platforms, databases, referrals, and other creative sourcing channels.
• Develop and maintain strong, diverse talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Serve as a talent advisor to hiring leaders by providing insight and guidance related to recruiting strategy, candidate selection, compensation considerations, market trends, and the overall hiring process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, HR partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate Xcel Energy's employee value proposition and employment opportunities to attract and engage high-quality talent.
• Deliver a consistent, professional, and best-in-class experience for candidates and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.
• Embed employer brand, diversity, equity and inclusion, and equal employment opportunity principles throughout recruiting and selection activities.
• Manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail.
• Work effectively and independently with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders and executives.
• Maintain knowledge of company programs, compensation practices, talent strategies, and relevant employment policies and practices to effectively support hiring decisions.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or a combination of education and experience).
• 3-10+ years experience in full cycle recruitment (direct sourcing, corporate recruitment) including consultative partnership with business leaders to define talent needs.
• Ability to travel occasionally and commute to events and company locations as needed.
• Experience developing and implementing recruitment plans and strategies (diverse talent pools).
• Prior Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience required. Workday ATS highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EEO and Affimative Action.
• Knowledge of employment law.
• Demonstrated knowledge of TA metrics and how they influence each level of the recruiting funnel.
