Job summary

WHSmith North America is recruiting a Recruiter to implement and drive talent acquisition strategy and manage full-cycle recruitment across all company functions. The role partners with hiring managers to build roadmaps for recruiting critical positions, make sound hiring decisions and build a pipeline of strong, qualified candidates.

The Recruiter will develop sourcing plans for complex needs, manage external sources, and maintain the applicant tracking system to ensure accurate candidate data.

• Recruit for internal and external candidates via career site, job boards, and social platforms.
• Manage the application/interview process for internal applicants.
• Maintain the applicant tracking system with up-to-date candidate information.
• Present offers and handle related inquiries.
• Plan and evaluate recruitment activities against defined goals and metrics.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on recruiting trends and competitive landscape.

WHSmith North America has an exciting opportunity for a Recruiter to join our team

The Recruiter implements and drives talent acquisition strategy and manages full-cycle recruitment on requisitions across all company functions. This role will partner with hiring managers and other key stakeholders to build road maps for recruiting critical positions, make sound hiring decisions and build a pipeline of strong, qualified candidates.

What You’ll DO

• Full-cycle recruitment of employees and temporary roles, inclusive of candidate sourcing through presentation of offer.
• Develop recruiting & sourcing plans for complex talent needs and high-level positions, identifying appropriate and effective external sources for candidates.
• Recruit for qualified candidates (internal/external and active/passive) via company career site, external job boards, social platforms.
• Manage the application/interview process for internal applicants.
• Maintain the applicant tracking system to ensure up to date and detailed candidate information is readily available.
• Present full offers to candidates and manage through related inquiries.
• Plan, develop, implement and constantly re-evaluate recruitment activities and performance based on defined goals, strategies, objectives and metrics.
• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers and other key stakeholders. Work with each to understand job specifications, qualifications and skillsets needed for new roles.
• Continuously up to date on recruiting trends and employment landscape. Identifies and makes recommendations of recruiting methods and strategies based on information.
• Maintain a solid level of industry knowledge, business initiatives and comprehensive understanding of competitive landscape.
