John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is seeking a on-site Recruiter in Elgin, IL to manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly manufacturing, warehouse, sanitation, and other operations roles.

The role partners with HR and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, attract and evaluate candidates, coordinate hiring activities, and deliver a positive candidate experience. Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required, including reading, writing, speaking, and professional communication in both languages.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s preferred in HR/Business or related field.
• 1 year of experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, or high-volume coordination.
• Experience recruiting hourly employees in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or fast-paced operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned hourly operations positions, including postings, sourcing, application review, phone screening, interview coordination, offers, and pre-employment activities.
• Develops and maintains candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, events, and community outreach.
• Partners with hiring managers and HR to understand staffing needs, priorities, job requirements, and selection criteria.
• Provides regular updates on candidate activity, progress, and staffing challenges to hiring managers.
• Maintains accurate records in the applicant tracking system, including statuses, reasons, offer details, and documentation.
• Communicates job expectations, compensation, schedules, workplace requirements, and hiring process updates.
• Supports hiring events, job fairs, community recruiting initiatives, and workforce development programs.
• Monitors recruiting metrics, identifies improvement opportunities, and adjusts strategies to meet staffing objectives.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, recordkeeping, and equal employment opportunity guidelines.

Job description

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly manufacturing, warehouse, sanitation, and other operations positions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to understand workforce needs, attract and evaluate qualified candidates, coordinate hiring activities, and deliver a positive candidate experience. The Recruiter also supports workforce planning initiatives, hiring events, and maintains accurate recruiting records and reporting.

This position is on-site 4 days a week in Elgin, IL.

Functions of the Position:

• Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned hourly operations positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, application review, phone screening, interview coordination, offer management, and pre-employment activities.
• Develops and maintains candidate pipelines through job boards, employee referrals, community partnerships, hiring events, local outreach efforts, and other sourcing strategies.
• Partners with hiring managers and Human Resources to understand staffing needs, hiring priorities, job requirements, scheduling demands, and selection criteria.
• Provides regular communication and updates to hiring managers regarding candidate activity, hiring progress, and potential staffing challenges.
• Maintains accurate and compliant records within the applicant tracking system, including candidate statuses, disposition reasons, offer details, and required documentation.
• Communicates job expectations, compensation, schedules, workplace requirements, and hiring process updates to candidates in a professional and timely manner.
• Supports hiring events, job fairs, community recruiting initiatives, and workforce development programs.
• Monitors recruiting metrics and hiring results, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and adjusts recruiting strategies to meet staffing objectives.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, recruiting procedures, recordkeeping requirements, and equal employment opportunity guidelines.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in recruiting, staffing, Human Resources, customer service, or a high-volume coordination role required.
• Experience recruiting hourly employees in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or other fast-paced operational environment required.
• Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS), preferably UKG, preferred.
• Knowledge of employment practices, candidate screening techniques, and recruiting processes preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and community partners.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and recruiting priorities while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

The starting salary range for this position is $65,505-$90,070. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives subject to the terms of the underlying plan.
