John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is seeking a on-site Recruiter in Elgin, IL to manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly manufacturing, warehouse, sanitation, and other operations roles.

The role partners with HR and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, attract and evaluate candidates, coordinate hiring activities, and deliver a positive candidate experience. The position requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to maintain compliant

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required, including reading, writing, speaking, and professional communication in both languages.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s preferred in HR/Business or related field.
• 1 year of experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, or high-volume coordination.
• Experience recruiting hourly employees in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or fast-paced operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned hourly operations positions, including postings, sourcing, application review, phone screening, interview coordination, offers, and pre-employment activities.
• Develops and maintains candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, events, and community outreach.
• Partners with hiring managers and HR to understand staffing needs, priorities, job requirements, and selection criteria.
• Provides regular updates on candidate activity, progress, and staffing challenges to hiring managers.
• Maintains accurate records in the applicant tracking system, including statuses, reasons, offer details, and documentation.
• Communicates job expectations, compensation, schedules, workplace requirements, and hiring process updates.
• Supports hiring events, job fairs, community recruiting initiatives, and workforce development programs.
• Monitors recruiting metrics, identifies improvement opportunities, and adjusts strategies to meet staffing objectives.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, recordkeeping, and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
