Job summary

Ruan Transportation Management Systems in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Recruiter to partner with Operations leadership to hire drivers efficiently and provide a first-class candidate experience aligned with the Ruan Guiding Principles.

You will source locally, onboard candidates through multiple channels, schedule interviews, and maintain consistent communication with operations, candidates, and recruiters to meet headcount needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Knowledge of recruiting best practices and sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively and maintains strong relationships with candidates, internal customers and various levels of leadership.
• Work with operation leadership to understand headcount demand and develop marketing and advertising plans accordingly.
• Review driver applications and determine if the applicant qualifies for the defined role.
• Organizes calendars for interviews, orientation, road tests, physicals, and follows up consistently.
• Create or modify weekly advertisements for job postings and host weekly hiring calls with operation leadership.
• Execute and review consumer reports to determine if the applicant meets hiring guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the hiring process in the system of record.
• Assure compliance with company standards and DOT regulations.

Job description

In this role, the Recruiter will work with Operation leadership to efficiently and effectively hire drivers needed in a timely manner. The recruiter is expected to provide a first class experience utilitizing the Ruan Guiding Principles, anticipate the driver recruiting needs of the organization, create and build relationships, and identify qualified prospects. They will assist with local sourcing strategies, actively onboard candidates through various communication methods, and maintain consistent communication with operation, candidate, and recruiter.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
