Job summary

WVUH is seeking a skilled recruiter to manage end-to-end talent acquisition in a high-volume healthcare environment. You will source candidates, screen, and conduct behavioral interviews while partnering with stakeholders to fill positions across the organization.

The role requires strong knowledge of recruitment tools (ATS, HRIS) and a proven ability to build professional relationships with educational institutions, candidates, and hospital staff. Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must have a degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or related field with 1–4 years of recruitment experience, depending on the degree attained.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.
  • Healthcare recruitment experience is desirable.

  • Source, identify, evaluate, and engage qualified candidates across the organization
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Perform recruitment activities for qualified staff across all areas of WVUH
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term recruitment plans
  • Review applications and resumes and use assessments and selection tools to evaluate candidates
  • Proactively source candidates using a wide variety of techniques
  • Conduct candidate screens and behavioral interviews
  • Compile reports and analyze turnover, vacancy rates, and selection-process statistics
  • Coordinate career events and activities with educational institutions and organizations
  • Coordinate hiring processes and new-employee scheduling, including required screening and background-check procedures
  • Partner with management and stakeholders on recruitment plans and strategies
  • Maintain professional relationships with educational institutions, placement offices, HR team members, and hospital staff
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, maintain schedules, and provide timely applicant follow-up
  • Provide input on recruitment trends, compensation, and benefits
  • Determine salary recommendations in accordance with organizational compensation guidelines
  • Consult with business partners on selection processes and compensation determination
  • Participate in departmental and functional meetings and activities
  • Utilize HR technologies, including ATS, HRIS, HR products, and vendors
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations and one (1) year of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment; OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or another related degree and two (2) years of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment; OR Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or another related degree and four (4) years of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment; OR High School Diploma and ten (10) years of experience within Human Resources specializing in recruitment
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification desired
  • LinkedIn Recruiter certificate desiredRecent work experience in a healthcare setting desired
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask workflow
  • Must complete required hiring procedures, including physical/drug screen, criminal background check, and references
  • Must follow nondiscriminatory recruitment practices
  • Exempt status

Demonstrates expertise in full-cycle recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, and selection in a high-volume environment. Proficient in utilizing HR technologies and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders and educational institutions.
