Job summary

CalOptima Health is seeking a Therapy Aide (Recreational) to support the PACE program in our Orange, CA day health center. You will assist with therapeutic and recreational activities, coordinate social programming, and help ensure participant engagement and well-being.

The role requires a high school diploma with 1 year of experience with the frail or elderly, and CPR/First-Aid certification (or within six months). Telework only if approved, otherwise on-site at our Orange office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of experience with the frail or elderly population within the last 3 years.
• 1 year of experience with people with dementia required.
• CPR and First-Aid Certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and recreational support services to PACE participants in the day health center.
• Coordinate and facilitate day center social programming and activities.
• Document activity services provided (e.g., charge tickets) and report changes to supervisors.
• Assist with care plan assessments and participate in supervision of participant engagement.
