Job summary

Caliber Therapies in a flexible, community-based setting seeks a passionate, client-centered Recreational Therapist to build meaningful relationships and design individualized interventions that promote greater independence, participation in daily life, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current CTRS credential through NCTRC.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within service area.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or specialty populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one Recreational Therapy services in clients' homes, community settings, and telehealth when appropriate.
• Design and facilitate evidence-based interventions addressing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and leisure functioning.
• Promote community integration, independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation in leisure and daily life.
• Adapt interventions to client strengths, interests, abilities, and goals.
• Collaborate with caregivers, case managers, and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation per company policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and clinical standards while representing Caliber Therapies in the community.
