Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team. You will plan and implement individualized treatment programs using expressive arts, recreation, and psycho-educational interventions, while maintaining patient safety and quality care.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Recreational Therapy and CTRS certification, with at least three months of psychiatric/medical/clinical experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Recreational Therapy required; CTRS certification.
• Minimum three months of psychiatric/medical/clinical experience.
• Knowledge of expressive arts therapies, recreation therapies, psycho-educational interventions and group counseling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop an individualized treatment plan with the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan milieu programming and therapy groups; establish therapeutic relationships.
• Contribute to treatment planning meetings and safety monitoring as needed.
• Document and report information per policies; assist in training staff and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with clinical managers on internships and departmental activities.
