Lifepoint Behavioral Health is part of Lifepoint Health, a nationwide network. We are seeking a Recreational Therapist to support behavioral health patients at UP Health System - Marquette, with a focus on meaningful therapy and social engagement within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning, with opportunities to contribute to patient well-being and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification is required.
• BLS certification.
• Handle with Care training within 3 months of hire and current Therapist license.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and set recreational therapy goals.
• Pre-certify and review patient care for continued authorization.
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of interventions.
• Create goal-directed care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Update treatment plans weekly or as needed.
• Coordinate large and small group activities to promote socialization.
