Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Mobility Technician to join the UP Health System - Marquette team. This full-time role (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) operates with no weekends/holidays and focuses on helping patients move safely and improve satisfaction with care.

You will work with the acute care therapy team for guidance while performing mobility activities and supporting department operations to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D. equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mobility and ambulation exercises according to an established plan of care.
  • Assist with routine rehabilitation department tasks as assigned by a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrate accountability for program development, quality improvement and productivity in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

More About Our Team

This will be working with the acute care therapy team for training and guidance; however, it is an independent position. The focus is to get patients out of bed/moving to improve satisfaction and reduce harms.

How You'll Contribute

A Mobility Technician who excels in this role will:

  • Provide mobility and ambulation exercises according to an established plan of care.
  • Perform routine tasks related to the operation of the rehabilitation department and may assist with patient related activities as assigned by a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
  • Assist with any and all other duties as assigned.
