Job summary

Lifepoint Behavioral Health is seeking a Therapy Activities Coordinator to support clinical, operational, and administrative needs in our behavioral health program. The role focuses on assessing patient needs, designing activity-based therapies, and documenting progress.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field, and CPR/De-escalation certifications, with opportunities for professional development and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P, LPAT), or similar field required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and determines appropriate group activities.
• Documents patient responses to interventions in progress notes.
• Completes assessments within scheduled timeframes and supports workload balance for therapists.
• Formulates initial and ongoing treatment plans with goals and measurable objectives.
• Develops care plans with actions tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Provides activities aligned with treatment plans and patient capabilities.
• Contributes to treatment planning with feedback to staff.
• Directs activity-related groups and guides unit staff.
