Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in New Bern, NC is seeking a full-time Program Supervisor for the EMPOWER Recreation & Wellness program. You will plan, facilitate, and oversee recreational and wellness activities, supervising direct care recreation staff, and contributing to program operations.

The role requires strong organizational skills, a background in human services, and a commitment to empowering participants with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisor experience overseeing staff and program activities.
• Bachelor's degree in recreation, special education, or related human service field preferred.
• Two years’ experience with developmental disabilities and mental health populations preferred.
• Valid driver's license with solid driving record and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and implement recreational and wellness activities.
• Supervise direct care recreation para-professionals.
• Assist in recruitment, interviews, and staff hiring.
• Review participant files and assign staff based on individual needs and abilities.
