Job summary

Roanoke County, Virginia is seeking a Recreation Facility Attendant to support daily operations of the wellness floor, gymnasium, and other recreation spaces. You will monitor equipment usage, enforce rules, assist with program setup, and provide friendly customer service to patrons.

The role requires high school diploma, flexibility to work weekends and evenings, and the ability to perform light cleaning and safety checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: pursuing degree in Exercise Science or health-related field.
• Preferred: CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising recreation activities and facilities.
• Assist with the supervision of program participants.
• Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons.
• Conduct wellness area walkthroughs for safety and cleanliness.
• Report equipment malfunctions or hazards to management.
• Set up, monitor, and help break down program areas as needed.
• Support emergency procedures and basic first aid if trained.
