Job summary

County of Roanoke Virginia is seeking a part-time Recreation Facility Attendant to support daily operations of the wellness floor, gymnasium, and other recreation spaces. You will monitor equipment use, set up for programs, and assist with event setup and cleanup, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons.

This role requires high school graduation and offers flexible hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, with potential to pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: degree in Exercise Science or health-related field.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising recreation activities and facilities.
• Ensure safe, proper, and respectful use of all equipment and spaces.
• Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines consistently and professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with questions.
• Conduct wellness orientations and equipment demonstrations when trained.
• Maintain accurate records of recreation activities and incidents.
