The City of Appleton is seeking an enthusiastic and driven professional to join our team as a Recreation Supervisor. This position will primarily focus on aquatics while also supporting a variety of recreation programs, including winter recreation, youth sports, and enrichment-focused activities.
In this exciting role, you’ll lead the operations of two outdoor aquatic centers, two high school pools (seasonally), and our year-round swim lesson program. As a key leader in our Recreation Division, you’ll help shape and grow a wide range of recreation and leisure opportunities for our community.

Essential Job FunctionsA bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management or a related field, with at least three years of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Ability to obtain Certified Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification within six months of hire is required. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certifications are preferred.
Methods and problem solving in recruitment, training, placement, supervision, evaluation and retention of part-time, seasonal staff.
