Job summary

The City of Allen is seeking a Recreation Division Manager to oversee operations, staff, and budgets for recreation programs. You will lead strategic planning for programming, marketing and revenue goals, and supervise hiring, training and performance reviews.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, revenues, refunds, payroll, inventory, and program development, as well as supervising camp activities and facility maintenance in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a recreation-related field plus 4 years in the industry with 2+ in supervision.
• Alternative: Associate degree with 8 years and 2+ supervision; or high school with 12 years and 2+ supervision.
• Combos may be considered per department needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of recreation facility, budget and staff to meet program goals.
• Develop annual strategic action plans for programming, marketing and sales.
• Lead hiring, interviews, training, performance reviews and staff scheduling.
• Manage budgets, costs, revenue, refunds, payroll and inventory.
• Develop facility programs, recruit instructors and supervise activities.
