Job summary

Muscular Dystrophy Association is seeking a Specialist, Recreation Programs to plan, manage, and execute nationwide recreation programs including Summer Camps and Family Weekends. This remote role requires local and overnight travel and reports to the Manager, Recreation Programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field, 2+ years leading community-focused programs, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage youth and families while maintaining

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to communicate with internal and external partners.
• Able to manage multiple programs simultaneously with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan Recreation Programs with intention and initiative.
• Recruit Volunteers and coordinate program resources and logistics.
• Ensure programs align with national guidelines and budget constraints.
• Maintain accurate information in databases and communicate opportunities to participants.
