Job summary

City of Twinsburg is seeking an Activities Coordinator - Recreation to develop, coordinate, schedule, implement, supervise and evaluate diverse recreational programs and events. The role requires strong communication, staff training, budgeting, and customer service skills.

The incumbent will work evenings and weekends as needed, recruit volunteers and seasonal staff, and maintain accurate program records while ensuring high-quality community experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school or higher; two years related experience/training or an equivalent combination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; ability to learn recreational software applications.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, hiring, scheduling/training of volunteers, part-time and seasonal staff per City policy.
• Plan and evaluate recreational and camp activities for all ages across departments and facilities.
• Maintain training, insurance and certification records for staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Develop staffing, facility and programming policies and fee structures with director; contribute to cost-recovery efforts.
• Prepare promotional materials and manage weekly event announcements.
• Assist with fundraising, sponsorships, grants and outside support for programming.
