The Highlands Recreation District seeks a Recreation Coordinator to plan, organize, supervise, deliver, and evaluate district recreation, sports, senior, and enrichment programs across district facilities and events. The role also supports marketing, multimedia content creation, and the production of seasonal activity guides.

You will manage facility rentals, coordinate with partners, supervise staff and instructors, and help with budgeting, safety compliance, and community outreach.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in recreation, communications, marketing, public administration, or related field (or equivalent).
• Two years of experience coordinating recreation programs, facility rentals, events, communications, or related community services.
• Two years of experience supervising staff, contractors, and program volunteers.
• Experience coordinating with community groups, vendors, contractors, or program instructors.
• Proficiency with design and content-creation software (e.g., Canva, Adobe).

Aufgaben

• Prepares daily, weekly and seasonal schedules of events and activities.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and implementation of programs, classes, camps, leagues, and events including vendor coordination and staffing.
• Monitor supplies, prepare purchase requests, quotes, and track expenditures.
• Collect and maintain program and rental data, generate reports as needed.
• Develop new program ideas and community engagement opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact for contracted instructors, ensuring compliance.
• Support instructors, contractors, rental staff, and partners with information and issue resolution.
• Conduct informational meetings with staff and volunteers on policies and procedures.
• Analyze community needs to adapt programs and manage resources efficiently.
• Manage multimedia and promotional materials, including guides, flyers, graphics, videos, and digital content.
• Manage facility rental scheduling, permits, requirements, and on-site staff coordination.
• Coordinate with local community groups on rental requests and district policies.
• Maintain scheduling calendars and resolve conflicts promptly.
• Assist with annual budgeting for Seasonal and Rental Departments.
