City of Fairview Heights is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to lead and supervise a range of youth and adult recreation and sports programs. You will plan, promote, and host activities, manage registrations, and maintain program records in a community recreation setting.

The role requires strong communication, public relations, and organizational skills, with some evenings/weekends expected. Experience with coaching and first aid is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer and office equipment skills.
• Public and internal relationship skills.
• Supervisory and instruction capabilities.
• Knowledge of various sports.
• First Aid Training helpful.
• Athletic skills for coaching or camps.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate recreation and sports activities.
• Plan, promote, organize, schedule, and lead youth/adult programs as directed.
• Maintain records: attendance, income from fees, expenditures, timesheets.
• Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Assist with program registration and answer questions.
• Monitor registrations and adjust activities accordingly.
• Provide instruction at recreation activities and camps.
• Assist in special events and office operations.
• Set up/tear down for facility reservations and events.
