Job summary

The City of Oakland Park is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to oversee diverse programs including aquatics, youth camps, arts and crafts, and leisure activities. You will supervise staff, coordinate activities, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for participants of all ages.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, maintaining equipment, guiding groups, and delivering exceptional customer service to residents and visitors while upholding city policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid Florida CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement.
• Pass fingerprinting and background screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Greets internal and external customers and provides directions or references to appropriate entities.
• Supervises activities for recreation programs and fields.
• Leads groups in recreational activities and maintains equipment.
• Assists in event setup and operation of special events.
• Checks facilities for safety and reports damaged equipment or facilities.
• Maintains constructive working relationships with staff and the public.
• Maintains regular attendance to scheduled shifts.
