Job summary

City of Page seeks a Recreation Assistant to help plan, organize and coordinate community programs for youth and adults at the Sports Complex and related facilities. The role includes clerical support, supervision of programs and staff, and promoting recreation activities to schools and the public.

The position requires maintaining safety standards, scheduling volunteers, and preparing reports and field setups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year recreation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating classes, workshops, activities and events for youth and adults.
• Respond to public inquiries by telephone, text, or written correspondence and at public meetings.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; support facility and equipment maintenance within budget.
• Schedule staff and volunteers; recruit and train seasonal personnel.
• Prepare and submit incident and program reports; promote programs to public and schools.
