Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years in recreation/public administration with supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Certified Park and Recreation Professional preferred
• Playground Safety Inspector; Irrigator; and/or Pesticide Applicator certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of departmental priorities, objectives, goals, and actively seeks out new processes and technologies to help improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develops and provides monthly reports on the activities of the department.
• Oversees professional staff in the general administration of parks operations and aquatics operations.
• Represents the City and department at public meetings and staff conferences.
• Manages a variety of facilities and the maintenance of parks and municipal properties.
