Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Recreation Leader II to assist the Recreation Center Director in coordinating, planning, administrating, supervising and conducting recreational and cultural programs at a recreation center and/or pool.

This role requires work during evenings and weekends, supervises activities, and involves moderate physical exertion in various facilities, with supervision from a technical superior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in leading recreation activities.
• Equivalency: Six months of extra experience may substitute for each year of high school.
• Bachelor's degree in recreation, physical education or related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, administer, supervise and conduct recreational and cultural programs.
• Assist the Recreation Center Director; supervise staff as needed.
• Work evenings and weekends; in various facilities with potential inclement weather; moderate physical exertion.
• Maintain records and ensure safety protocols.
