Job summary

Montgomery County Recreation seeks energetic leaders to serve as Recreation Leader II or Facility Leader II. You will greet participants, assist with information, and help supervise activities across county recreation facilities and programs.

The seasonal/temporary role offers an hourly wage of $20.00 and requires 1,200 hours of leadership or instruction experience with completion of two years of college. Substitution via education/experience is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1200 hours (seasonal/leadership) in recreation activities.
• Education: Completion of two years in college.
• Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist participants and visitors with a professional, welcoming attitude.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly looking up and sharing accurate information.
• Set up and break down equipment.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Monitor activities and participant engagement to ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Assist with problem-solving during programs or within facilities.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing to ensure safety and readiness for use.
• Enforce program and facility rules and requirements.
